Where I’m At: August 10, 2018 at 10:13AM
It’s been a long while since I’ve posted, and I apologize. It’s been too long.
I have stumbled upon a project that has me excited and is dominating my attention nowadays. The thing is, I am in no way able to introduce it to you just yet. But I can give you a brief synopsis.
In short, I am crafting a series of liturgically-appropriate praise and worship songs specifically for Communion. It is employing a great number of my skill sets, including song craftsmanship, medleying, Scriptural analysis, love for the Eucharist, knowledge of official ecclesial documents… and, yes, even parody writing.
I’m in the odd position of writing all these songs, but I never get a chance to demonstrate them in time for those who would want to use them in their own parishes. (They change weekly). So I am logging them and keeping close dibs until I have a full year’s worth of songs.
After which I would want to copyright-protect them, and then create a private forum for those who are interested in these compositions, and are in a position of influence in their own parishes, to see if there are any interest in trying them out. If this is you, let me know.
